Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers: the town goes full bloom
Three spring weeks of gardens, parades, food and music up on the range — and a local calendar for everything else happening around town while you're here.

What fills the three weeks
Parade, food, tours and dogs: how people spend Carnival
A rough map of the big Carnival experiences. Each one has an official page — that's where dates, tickets and this year's line-up live, and they can change.
Flowers and gardens
Where to walk when you're chasing the flowers
The gardens do the heavy lifting. These are the ones people drive up the range for — the official flowers page is where to check what's open and what's been planted this year.
- Queens Park — The one most visitors start with, close to the CBD and easy to do on foot. Check the official park page for this year's displays and what's running around it.
- Laurel Bank Park — Formal beds, wide lawns and a scented garden. Good early in the morning when the light is soft and the paths are quiet.
- Newtown Park and the Queensland State Rose — Roses by the row, plus open parkland if you've got kids who need to run somewhere after a garden walk.
- UniSQ Japanese Garden — A complete change of pace from the carnival colour — water, stone, maples and a slow loop you can do in half an hour.
- Picnic Point and Spring Bluff — Two views rather than two gardens: the range escarpment from Picnic Point, and the old railway station gardens at Spring Bluff a short drive out.
- Boyce Gardens, Gumbi Gumbi and Peacehaven — Smaller, quieter gardens worth a detour if you've already done the headline parks and want somewhere you're not sharing with a tour bus.

Everyone finds the parade. The harder thing to find is the school fete, the Sunday market and the band playing down the road the same weekend — so that's the bit we keep updated.

The Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers takes over the whole town
We're a local community site, not the Carnival organisers. So our job on this page is simple: send you to the official source for the program, then help you fill in the gaps around it.
Send us your Carnival-week event and we'll get it listed
Markets, fetes, gigs, open gardens, club days — if it's happening in the Toowoomba region, tell us and we'll check it and put it on the local calendar.
