Toowoomba Events Calendar
Every published event across Toowoomba and the surrounding Darling Downs towns, in one place. It updates as organisers send listings in and our admins approve them.
Takes about a minute
How to find what's on Toowoomba this week
The calendar does the sorting. You just tell it what kind of day you're planning.
Just want to browse?
Open the List view and scroll. It's sorted by start date, newest events first, and it's what loads by default on a phone. Month and Week views are one tap away if you're planning ahead.
Only free on Saturday?
Set the date range to the weekend and tap the free chip. You can stack filters — Saturday, Markets, family, free — and the results narrow as you go.
Want something close to home?
Filter by suburb or location. Surrounding Darling Downs towns appear here once an admin has added them to our location list, so the options stay real rather than a made-up town list.
Prefer official listings only?
Flick on verified only. Every card shows its verification level — official, community or unverified — along with the source and the date the listing was last updated.
Nothing matching?
You'll see a plain message: no events match these filters yet — clear filters or submit an event. We'd rather show you an honest empty screen than pad the calendar out with guesses.
Found the one?
Tap the card. Every event has its own page with the venue, times, cost, booking link and organiser details, so you can check everything before you head out the door.
How we work
A clear path from first conversation to finished work.
Events Calendar and What's On
A searchable, filterable calendar of local events with month, week and list views, plus an individual page for every published event showing venue, times, cost, accessibility notes and organiser details.
Submit an Event, Notice or Organisation
Straightforward submission forms for organisers, community groups and businesses, with a clear moderation process and status shown on every submission before it is published.
Local Organisations Directory
Profiles for community groups, clubs, associations, schools, sporting bodies, services and local businesses, each with contact links, related events and location data.
Community News and Notices
Articles, announcements and community notices covering what is happening across the Toowoomba region, with source and last-updated details on every item.
If an event isn't on here, we won't invent it. Every listing is something a real organiser sent us or a moderator approved, with the source and last-updated date showing on the card.
Beyond the calendar
What else we can help you find locally
The calendar is the busiest part of the site, but it isn't the only part. Here's what sits behind it and around it.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What's actually on an event card?
- The event name, start date and time, the end time if the organiser set one, the venue name and suburb, category tags, a cost label (free, paid, or the organiser's own wording), the verification level, and the source with its last-updated date. Tap the card and it opens that event's own page.
- What does each event page show?
- Every published event gets its own web address and heading, with the venue and address, dates and times, cost, booking link, organiser, age suitability, accessibility notes, a map location and the related organisation where there is one. Each page also carries Event structured data so search engines read it properly.
- How do recurring events show up?
- If an organiser tells us an event runs weekly, monthly or on set dates, the event page displays that recurrence pattern rather than us copying the listing over and over. You'll see the pattern in plain words alongside the next dates.
- What do the verification badges mean?
- Official means it came from the organisation that runs it. Community means a local group or resident submitted it and a moderator approved it. Unverified means it's published but we haven't confirmed the details with the organiser yet. Use the verified only filter if you want the first group alone.
- Why am I seeing no results?
- Usually you've stacked one filter too many — a suburb plus a category plus a single date will narrow things quickly. You'll see the message: no events match these filters yet — clear filters or submit an event. Clear the chips and try a wider date range.
- Does it work properly on a phone?
- Yes. List view is the default on mobile because a month grid is painful on a small screen. Filters collapse into chips you can tap, and the keyword search sits at the top. Month and week views are still there when you're planning on a laptop.
- How do I get my event on the calendar?
- Send it through the submission form with the date, time, venue, suburb and cost. An admin reads it, checks the details, then publishes it. You'll see the status on your submission the whole way through, and you can ask us to update it if anything changes.
- Do you list events outside Toowoomba?
- We list surrounding Darling Downs towns once they're added to our location list, so they can be filtered properly by suburb. We don't pad the calendar with towns we don't actually cover.
